Our Process for Designing and Building a Custom Home starts with an initial meeting. We learn what you are looking for in a new home – design ideas, style preferences, location, and budget. You’ll have a chance to look through our portfolio of completed projects and tell us exactly what you like and don’t like, and we’ll come to understand each other’s expectations. You’ll leave having a better understanding of what it means to build a new home, and we’ll begin making your ideas into reality.
Next, we’ll move into the planning phase. Expanding on developments from our initial meeting, we’ll continue to work on perfecting the layout of your home. Informed decisions regarding the details of size, interior and exterior style, as well as any sustainable living options you might want will be made during this stage. Upon completion, we’ll provide you with accurate pricing and outline the specifications for your project.
Once contracts are signed, we will begin building your home. Throughout the construction process, we will continue to work closely with you on design decisions for both the interior and exterior. The most exciting day of the project, closing day, will come after your home is all finished up and we have received a certification of occupancy from the city. Many factors and conditions can affect the timeline for your home but rest assured your home will be turned over to you as quickly as possible.
